Our impact: 1 tree per order and 10% of profits to charity

1 order, 1 tree planted

Every order supports reforestation. For each order we ship, 1 tree is planted through Ecologi, and you can see the live picture on our Ecologi page. We do not quote a tree total here, because the Ecologi page is the one place it is always current.

10% of profits to charity

10% of profits go toward marine conservation and mental health charities. Regular donations also support reef restoration. That is 10% of profits rather than sales, so it comes out of what the business actually earns.

Less waste in the parcel

I use eco friendly packaging and recycled acrylic wherever possible. Custom builds such as the acrylic frag rack and our signage use recycled acrylic, which you can see on the custom projects page.

Made to order apparel

Our tees and sweatshirts are made on demand with zero inventory waste, from organic cotton and, for the sweatshirts, recycled polyester. Nothing is printed and left sitting on a shelf.

Why these causes

Reforestation, reef restoration and mental health may look like separate causes. For me they connect. The Spiritual Reefer is about a slower, more thoughtful approach to reefing, and that ethos is built into every product, so these are the places the business gives back.

It is a small business run from my home, so these are small steps taken steadily. They sit alongside a slower, more thoughtful approach to reefing, which is what The Spiritual Reefer is about.
