The magnet is sealed inside a bonded plastic capsule before it is secured in the printed part, which took 2 years of refinement. The outer magnet is a different matter: it is for dry use only and is not waterproof, so it stays on the outside of the glass.

It depends on the product. The nori feeder takes up to 14mm with Standard magnets and 19mm with Strong. The butterfly feeder takes up to 14mm and 20mm. Frag racks vary by size: Mini 14 and 19mm, Slim 15 and 20mm, Standard 13 and 19mm.

Most orders are dispatched the next working day, though workload or stock can add a little time. Merchandise is printed and shipped by a third party and usually dispatches within 5 working days. Shipping costs show at checkout, and collection is possible for non merchandise items.

You can return most unused items within 14 days of receiving them, in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Live items and custom made items are the exceptions. The delivery and returns page has the steps, including who pays for return postage.

No. Marine Spec is a trading name of HJM CREATIONS, a sole trader business, and it is not VAT registered. That means no VAT is added to or included in our prices, which are listed in pounds sterling, so the price you see is the price you pay for the product.

Payments appear on your bank statement as HJM CREATIONS. You can pay by credit or debit card, PayPal or the other methods shown at checkout, and Marine Spec does not store your payment details because trusted payment providers handle them.

Yes. Every order plants 1 tree through Ecologi, and you can check the live figures on our Ecologi page. On top of that, 10% of profits go to marine conservation and mental health charities, with regular donations to reef restoration too.

Yes. Email your design to info@marine-spec.co.uk and Harry prepares it for print, then prints, laminates and cuts it in house. Single stickers and packs of 10, 30 or 50 are available, and production takes up to 3 working days.

Refrigerate phytoplankton and brine shrimp on arrival. Use brine shrimp and copepods within 1 week. Phytoplankton gets a gentle shake each day and is best used within 4 weeks, though it can last longer. Each product page repeats the storage advice for that item.
